ScrapStopperTM is a High Precision Unwind Controller which is designed to provide the converting industry a solution to save money by reducing the amount of material remaining

Auto Splice
A standard application of ScrapStopperTM is to serve as a trigger of an Automatic Unwind Splice. The ScrapStopperTM accurately
calculates the footage remaining in the unwind roll. Knowing the remainging footage the operator has control of the splice timing by dialing in a user entry
setpoint for the footage amount to leave on the roll. Because of the consistancy and accuracty of the system customers are able to produce more sellable product and less scrap.

Auto Stop
Another standard application of the ScrapStopperTM is to provide a means for and accurate Automatic Stop at Unwind Core. Many lines can only make
sellable product while running at a consistant line speed. It is cost adventagous to stay at line speed as long as possible to before issueing a line stop.
Key feature of using the ScrapStopperTM is it accurately calculates the footage required to decel to a stop at the current line speed.
The system can be configured for both lines with a Fixed Decel and S-Curve, Using the ScrapStopperTM for an automatic stop, the system will
trigger a stop based on Calculated Footage Remaining on the Roll, and the Footage Required to Decel to zero speed. A setpoint is exposed for the Operator
to control the final footage remaining on the core when fully stopped.
